After many years, after much research and exploring about the movie I have to write this article as a tribute to the movie which still stands as a benchmark to all other movies as mentioned as top 5 classics list of IMDB. The movie is a tale of a criminal being caught and then being bribed to extract information from the police. It is a story of a man who seeks revenge for the death of his father, a victim of vengeance. The film follows the trials and tribulations of three men – Indru Thakur, Veeru Devasia Charan, and Hari Prasad – who become involved in an intricate web of intrigue after Hari Prasad kills Indru's father. Eventually, they have to find out the real culprit who was working as their informant. In this process they have to overcome hurdles from politicians, police officers and gangsters, all with their own agendas. Most of the characters in the film are inspired by historical figures and happenings. Most of them are played by the real people who were involved in real life events where they were involved. The movie is about revenge and taking down powerful men. It explores how money changes hands, criminal mind set, police corruption, gang wars, rivalry between gangs and politicians. The movie employs several clever techniques that makes the audience think that it is just an action flick but there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. Some scenes are shot to be dramatic while some scenes are shot to be funny or comical. This movie is a must watch for all film fans because it has everything in it - action, drama, comedy, emotion and much more. One of the most memorable scenes in the movie is when Jai (Amjad Khan) gets hit by a car and then catches that car with his hands and gets up. The scene still makes me laugh every time I see it because I can imagine myself doing exactly the same thing.
